When people picture monks, they typically think of peaceful men in the hills who took a vow of silence for the remainder of their lives. However, just because they took up a life of poverty, silence, and prayer doesn’t mean they don’t like to have some wacky fun every once in a while.
These Franciscan Monks were filmed having a rousing snowball fight in Jerusalem. It looks like they had a blast in the winter weather.

This really makes you rethink everything you knew about monks. They like to have some silly fun in the snow, just like the rest of us. I would really love to see them go sledding in their next video.
