Nearly two decades after her son passed away, Vicki Brannon had the opportunity to listen to the beat of her son’s heart once again. This time, it was in the body of Jennifer Lentini, who received the heart and a new lease on life after struggling with heart disease as a teen. Though the transplant took place many years ago, the two women just met for the first time at Tampa International Airport in an emotional moment.
The meeting was obviously a very emotional one. Lentini refers to Brannon’s son Matthew as her “guardian angel.”

Thanks to Matthew, Jennifer Lentini now lives a healthy life. Vicki couldn’t be any happier for Jennifer, and even said she feels like a daughter to her.
