The small town of Waukesha, Wisconsin, made headlines last summer when two 12-year-old girls tried to kill one of their classmates to please the imaginary internet character of Slender Man. The case against the two girls is now at trial, and some of the evidence presented by the prosecution is downright terrifying.
According to ABC News, investigators collected some pretty disturbing evidence from the girls’ bedrooms shortly after the attempted murder. These include unsettling diary entries and Barbie dolls mutilated with occult symbols.
The diary contains many pictures of Slender Man, like the one below.

These pictures are chilling to look at. Everything here seems to indicate a general mental instability. Not that it excuses what these girls did, but this might help explain things for the parents of the victim.
