These Vintage Black And White Police Mug Shots Feature Some Serious Bad Girls

These mug shots from the late 19th and early 20th century are concrete proof that bad girls have been around for ages. I wish I could say that these women had cold hearts and warm guns, but that simply doesn’t seem to be the case. Most of the things these poor, but definitely defiant, women went to prison for are things that you could do in broad daylight while FaceTiming the President of the United States.

That might be a stretch, but so is coming to the conclusion that these women belonged in prison.

You’d think a country that started out as a penal colony wouldn’t be so keen on throwing people in prison.
