When you think of a project that would accurately express your skill, creativity, and craft, it’s probably safe to say that your first thought wouldn’t be “a sink.”
Well, it’s time to expand your definition of “creative outlets.” There are many ways to express originality, and as it turns out, making a sink is one of them. Artist and designer, Alexey Steshak recently shared his newest creation with the world: It’s a beautiful sink. The hand-crafted, custom made basin took time, effort, and plenty of skill to create.
It all started out as a big piece of pine timber.
Carving out and sanding the solid piece of wood took some serious work.
It may seem like this project just took brute force, but careful precision was one of the most important factors in the process.
Here’s when the sink really started coming together. At this stage, the team waterproofed the wooden sink.
Steshak used a beautiful range of colored tiles to create a wonderful mosaic.
Here’s the finished product – probably the coolest sink you’ll ever see.

I’m not going to lie; I would really like to have this sink in my home.
It’s projects like these that really prove how you can take something normal and drab and make it into something amazing and unexpected.
