What He Did To This Old, Outdated Fireplace In Just One Weekend Is Amazing

On a cold, winter day, a fireplace offers one of the spots places to warm up. You can finally thaw out and start to feel your toes again.


That’s why it’s no surprise that this guy wanted to seriously upgrade his fireplace from a drab spot to the hottest place in the house. Check out what he made happen in just a weekend’s worth of work.

First, he removed the original build.

Then he made a new hearth with sturdy wooden planks. He added a mantel made from reclaimed wood.

He was able to reassemble the hearth and mantel (which he painted white).

I’d be pretty proud if I could pull off a project like this in just a weekend. It just goes to show how much you can accomplish when you put your mind to it.
