Back in the 1950’s, Ron Cole and Duncan Cumming were just two pre-teen pals who enjoyed each other’s company–or so they thought. Thanks to the work of Parent Finders Ottawa, the two were notified a mere 60 years or so later that they weren’t simply friends, but relatives, too.
As it turns out, those two kids who grew up in the same Canadian neighborhood chums were actually brothers. Despite knowing that they were both adopted, they never once thought that they may have had the same birth mother. Looks can be deceiving. What’s even weirder is that the day before Cole got the news, he randomly came across a picture of him and Cumming at the beach. What a coincidence!

Nearly six decades after they had last seen each other, the two reconnected over the phone. Cumming is still searching for a biological sister Diane, but Cole doesn’t seem to have much of an interest in finding other possible relatives.
