What These People Randomly Found On A Beach Is Straight From My Nightmares

Beach goers at Raglan Beach, New Zealand, received quite the surprise when a bizarre, alien-looking creature washed up on the shore. Upon first glance, the creature looks like something out of a horror movie. However, the truth is much more benign.

However, a closer at the creature reveals that it is actually many goose barnacles.

I never heard of barnacles with stalks before this occurrence. I’m thankful that we humans are safe from their wrath, but I still can’t shake the feeling of how creepy they look.
